Season: you can climb this mountain in all the year, some people do prefer raining season because are better snow (from July to October) and several people do prefer dry season for more clear days (October to July)

The Citlaltepetl, is the highest peak in Mexico and the highest volcano in North America, and  is the highest mountain in Mexico and the third highest in North America, after Denali of the United States and Mount Logan of Canada. It rises 5,610 metres (18,491 ft).
 

For those who are acclimatized to higher altitudes we offer a Pico de Orizaba “Express”

 

PICO DE ORIZABA EXPRESS (2 days)

Day 1: transportation from Mexico City or Puebla to Ciudad Serdan, a town at 2600m/8530ft near Pico de Orizaba.

Travel to base camp at 4600m/15,776ft.This is a day for acclimatizing

Day 2: Summit Day! We’ll start our ascent very early in the morning in order to reach the summit and return to base camp with enough time to get you back to Mexico City.

 

Citlaltepetl or Pico de orizaba Altitude 5,633 Metres above sea level (18480.97 FT) with GPS 

 

Included in this itinerary are the following:

• Transportation from the airport or hotel to the mountain and back, including the 4x4 travel at Pico de Orizaba
• A personal, well-trained and experienced mountain guide
• Collective safety gear: ropes, carabiners, tends, etc.
  • See “Mountain Equipment” section for the personal gear you’ll need
• Ascender certificate
• Base camp lodging (Is this what you mean when you write “base camp”?)
• Purified water to fill your water bottles
• All cooking equipment: stoves, dishes and accessories

Without Meals:

In this option, which we highly recommend, you bring your food or we can shop on our way to the mountain (we have supermarkets like WalMart here). This way you can eat what you like and is best for you.

With Meals:

In this option we supply the food and do all the cooking while at the mountain, any additional meals or food (snacks or meals while traveling) is not included in the pricing below

 

Each day outside of the itinerary will be an additional €90 Euros or $100 USD per person, meals not included
